Privacy notice
MDV Krishna Jewellery (“the shop”, “we”) decides how your personal data is used and is responsible for it. The company that provides this website software handles it only on the shop's instructions and for no purpose of its own.
What we collect
- Scheme members
- Your name, mobile number and email; your monthly amount; and your payments: date, amount, the rate locked, grams, cash or UPI, and the UPI reference. We also record when you agreed to this notice and which version you saw.
- Visitors
- Nothing personal. Page visits and button taps are counted as totals, without names, phone numbers, cookies or anything that identifies you.
- Never
- Aadhaar numbers, copies or photos of ID, bank account or card details. When you join, staff look at an ID to check your name; it is not copied or stored.
Why we use it
- To run your scheme account: record payments, add your grams and show them to you.
- To sign you in with one-time codes and to email your receipts.
- To answer your questions and settle any dispute about a payment.
- To keep the tax and accounting records the law requires.
- Offer and festival messages only if you said yes to them, which is a separate choice you can change at any time.
Where it is kept
In the shop's own separate database. Each shop that uses this software has its own database, admins and members; no other shop can see your data. It is stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare. Lawyer to confirm
We share it only with the services needed to run the scheme: hosting, email and message delivery for codes and receipts, and the shop's payment provider if the shop uses one for UPI. We never sell data, and we never share member details with photo-editing or AI tools.
How long we keep it
- Scheme and payment records and receipts: 8 years after your scheme closes, for tax records. Lawyer to confirm
- Your sign-in details, phone and email: deleted within 30 days after your scheme closes and is settled, or sooner when you ask, unless the law requires us to keep them with the payment records.
- Your choice about offer messages: until you change it.
Your rights
- See your data. Your member account shows every payment, and you can download all your data from it.
- Correct it. Ask from your account or at the counter. Changes to phone or email are confirmed with a code first.
- Ask us to erase it, where the law allows. Payment records that tax law makes us keep stay until that period ends.
- Raise a grievance with the shop's grievance officer, below, and get an answer.
- Nominate someone to act for you if you die or cannot act yourself. Tell the shop who, in writing.
Consent, and taking it back
When you join, staff show you this notice and you agree on the signup form. We record the date and the notice version, and you can see both in your account. You can take your consent back at any time. For the scheme itself that means closing it: we then stop using your data, except the records the law makes us keep. Offer messages are a separate yes or no that you can switch off from your account.
If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires. Scheme accounts are for adults, 18 and over. Lawyer to confirm If this notice changes in a way that affects you, we email members before it applies, and the version and date at the top change.
Terms of use
Prices
Prices on this site are worked out from the rate the shop approves each morning: gold value, making charge, any diamond charge and GST. They change when the rate changes. The final price is confirmed at the counter, where the piece is weighed in front of you before billing.
Pictures
Pictures show the design. They are renders or photos polished for this site; the design and details are not changed, but the piece in store may vary slightly in colour and finish.
Hallmark
Hallmarked pieces carry a BIS hallmark and a six-character HUID, shown on each item's page. You can check any HUID yourself in the BIS CARE app.
No online sales
This site does not sell jewellery online. It helps you choose, call and visit. Scheme payments made online go into your scheme account and buy grams for you; they are not purchases of a piece.
Offers
Offers apply only on their dates and terms, as written with each offer, and while stock lasts. One offer per bill unless the offer says otherwise.
Savings scheme
Scheme terms are given to you in writing when you join and are kept on the scheme page.
The site's content
The words, pictures and designs on this site belong to the shop. Please do not reuse them without asking. These terms are governed by Indian law. Lawyer to confirm
Cookies
We use only essential storage, so there is no consent banner to manage. There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and no third-party scripts that follow you to other sites.

Grievance officer
Write, call or ask at the counter. Tell us your member ID if you have one and what went wrong. We reply within 7 days and fix what we can as fast as we can. Lawyer to confirm
If you are not satisfied with our answer about your personal data, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India. For a complaint as a customer, you can also contact the National Consumer Helpline on 1915.
